As part of the Interreg Earpiece project, the Conservatory “Tito Schipa” of Lecce has scheduled a meeting, in the form of a concert-lesson, entitled “Strade dell’est”, for Friday 20 may. The protagonists will be the Professors of ethnomusicology Nabil Bey Salameh and Fabrizio Piepoli with participation of the students Claudia Di Palma and Anna Rita Di Leo. 

During the meeting the profound influences that the Balkan areas as well as other Mediterranean areas have developed on the popular music of the Salento area will be analyzed. Various pieces on the theme will be performed.
